Sunday mommy masak curry ikan - can anak bawal putih.. besar tapak tgn.. Budak2 nih kalau curry ikan memang tak nak sentuh..(geram mommy). So semalam mommy pun buatlah fav diorg..(except hanna), steak. Hanna ni suka makan nasi tp suka yg berkuah.. nampak nya ari ni kena masak fav hanna ler plak.. thingking of making sayur sawi dan sup ayam. Ni fav sumer org.
Steak nih 100% homemade.. simple!
This time I used veal rib bones.
Soy sauce (+ air skit kalau nak rebus)
1/2 tsp cummin
pepper and salt to taste
Sebab tak der masa, tak marinate pun. Bantai campur sumer dan rebus (dgn sedikit air) dlm periuk - kalau ada pressure cooker lagi cepat. Bila dah tender sumer.. kasi kering air tu. Kalau ada grill letak ler atas grill kejap. Semalam express kira 'bakar' dlm periuk yg buat rebus tu jer.. (has to be non-stick). Dah siap set aside.
Brown gravy:
2 tbs all purpose flour
chicken broth
Salt to taste.
Fry the flour (w/out oil) in non stick pan (the one used for the meat) about 5 min with medium heat, until light brown. Pour in chichen broth. Add in salt. Bring to boil and cook until it reach yr desired consistency.
Brown gravy to pour onto steak: Add pepper.
Mashed potato:
3 medium potato
2 tbs Butter/margarine
1/4 cup milk
Salt to taste
Boil potato with skin until tender. Remove the skin and mash with the potato masher. Add in butter. Have to do this when the potatoes are hot. Add in milk. (You can add more or less milk/butter).
haduuuu sodapnyaaa..slalu teringin nk buat mashed potato tu tp x pandai buat gravynya...so pasnih leh laa try...anak2 ckup suka...thanks for sharing ehhh...
