Some of the food, some of them were in our tummy!..
I'm not in a mood to make complete sentences.. here are some facts about this n3:
* Annual event at Mr. Khoo and Lee Kwuen's house.
* They cant' get a halal turkey this year, we (me and my family) ate chicken (halal) instead. They normally bought a halal turkey if they knew we're coming to the party.
* I was assigned to prepare dessert.
* I made lapis kaca (recipe from Kak Liza), and Chiffon Pandan Cake (recipe from Jo's Deli and Bakery), and Samosa (my own recipe).
* Unfortunately, we only remembered to take pictures after we ate.
Samosa:
Filing:
1/2 onion (bwg besar)
2 cloves garlic
Curry leaves
2 tbs curry powder
1 cup ground beef
2 1/2 cups chopped sweet potato or potato (keledek atau kentang)
Salt and sugar
Wonton wraps
Method:
Fry onion, garlic and curry leaves until fragrant. Add in curry powder. Stir for a few seconds. Add in ground beef. Keep stiring. Let the beef cook for a few minutes, then add in sweet potato. Add some water if necessary. Add salt and sugar to taste and simmer on low heat till tender.
Put the one spoonful of filling in the middle of wonton wrap and fold to the shape of your liking. Fry in hot cooking oil until golden brown. Enjoy!
